Genesys Logic, Inc., a leading IC design company in mixed-signal, high-speed I/O technologies, today announced it will demonstrate its new generation high-speed scanner controller GL3466 was certified by the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) for SuperSpeed USB (TID: 340000156).
In addition to USB 3.1 Gen 1 interface, the GL3466 boasts many distinctive new features designed for high speed scanning/imaging application. These new functions including high-speed dual-side scanning (up to 240 ppm at A4 size), smart image correction (de-skew, crop, and others), brightness compensation, embedded stepping/DC motor control, mechanical roller compensation, high-speed low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) interface, and up to 6-channel CIS image sensor interface.
GL3466 can be used to design in commercial applications such as personal or office sheet-fed document scanners, flatbed scanners, linear book scanners, dedicated cheque/document/banknote scanning for banks, VTM machines. It can also be used to design line-scan image input for applications like machine vision.
In GL3466, Genesys Logic incorporated many next-generation scanning and interface technologies in the design. The maximum scanning speed of A4-sized documents can reach over 120 sheets or 240 pages per minute, and the maximum scanning speed of banknote can reach over 400 sheets or 800 sides per minute. Its high-speed and high-quality image output can satisfy the needs of global scanner manufacturers and help them march into the high-speed sheet-fed scanner field.
